This colorful, eye-catching challah cover is decorated using a tie-dye technique. Students will experiment with the amount of water they add to the paint and how that affects the shade of the color. They will also learn the connection between the mann the Jewish people were blessed with in the desert, and the challos we have at our Shabbos table with a cover under and over it.
Students will experiment with different color combinations to produce the tie-dyed effect on a beautiful challah cover. Students will learn the significance of a challah cover and why we use it over the challos, especially during kiddush.
