(collectively, “Walder Education,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you use our website and any other online services that link to this Privacy Policy, such as our website (together, “the Sites”). This Privacy Policy also covers rights and choices related to your personal data.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date on this website page. In some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending you an email notification). We encourage you to review the Privacy Policy whenever you access the Sites to stay informed about our information practices and the ways you can help protect your privacy.

What data we collect

Walder Education collects personal data about individuals who visit our sites and interact with us. “Personal Data” is information that, or can reasonably be linked directly or indirectly an identifiable person. We collect this Personal Data from the following sources:

      • Directly from you, such as when you use the Sites, communicate with us, subscribe to our newsletter, participate in events, or visit our facilities.

The sections above describe our main purposes in collecting your data, but often we have multiple purposes. For instance, if you make an online purchase, we may collect your information to perform our contract with you. We also have a legitimate interest in maintaining that data so that we can easily address questions about an order. As a result, our collection and processing of your data is based in different contexts on your consent, our need to perform a contract, our legal obligations, and/or our legitimate interest in conducting our business.

To the extent we store and use , we will not try to reidentify the information, except to test our deidentification methods.

SHARING DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

In addition to the specific situations discussed elsewhere in this Policy, Walder Education may share personal data that we collect with the following recipients or in the following situations:

      • Affiliated Entities and Mergers. We may share data with our affiliates (g., parent corporation, sister corporations, subsidiaries, or other entities under common control).
      • Service Providers: We may disclose information to outside companies that help us. For example, we may work with outside companies to: (a) manage a database of user information; (b) assist us in distributing emails; (c) assist us with marketing and data collection; and (d) provide us storage and analysis. We require that these outside companies agree to keep confidential all information we share with them and to use the information only to perform their obligations in our agreements with them and annually review the relevant outside companies’ privacy and security policies to ensure compliance.
      • Compliance with Law, Other Disclosures without Your Consent: We may provide access to data when legally required to do so, to cooperate with law enforcement investigations or other legal proceedings, or for legal compliance. We may share your data to protect against or act on possible illegal activities, threats to safety of person or property, or misuse or unauthorized use of the Sites, to limit our legal liability, to protect against legal claims, and to establish or protect our rights or to protect the rights, property, or safety of grant applicants, visitors of Sites, or the public. Your data may be shared to ship products to or provide services by a third-party agent.
      • Professional Services: We may share data with our professional service providers, such as auditors or lawyers.

COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We may collect information your browser or device makes available through “cookies” when you use the Sites. Cookies are files that store information on your computer hard drive or browser so that we can recognize that you have visited us before. This information may include your IP address, browser type, browser language, and the date and time of your query. We use cookies and similar technologies (including “pixels” and other tools) to improve the Sites and personalize your experience.

Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. If you want to opt-out of receiving interest-based advertising, you can visit the NAI’s Consumer Opt Out page, which will allow you to opt-out of seeing advertisements set by participating NAI members. You may also exercise the choices that appear on the pop-up banner that appears when you visit our Sites.

We use Google Analytics to analyze cookies collected on our Sites. You may access http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/, or any other URL Google may provide from time to time, to find out about how Google Analytics uses your data or how to opt out of Google Analytics.

Responding to “Do Not Track” Signals: Some web browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) feature that signals to websites that a user does not want to have his or her online activity and behavior tracked. At this time, we do not recognize or respond to DNT signals.

Your Choices

Walder Education provides forms on its website where users can sign-up to schedule appointments, register for events, and receive email messages about our services and offerings. Users can unsubscribe from any email list through the unsubscribe link on any email we send you.  Please note that your option not to receive newsletters and promotional material shall not preclude us from corresponding with you, by e-mail or otherwise, regarding your existing relationship with us.

Some jurisdictions give you a right to make the following choices about your personal data:

      • Promotional Emails. You may choose to provide us with your email address to allow us to send newsletters, surveys, offers, or other promotional content , as well as targeted offers from third parties. You can stop receiving such emails by following the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of those emails. If you choose not to receive such emails, we may still send you service-related communications.
      • Promotional Mailings. If you do not want to receive offers and/or circulars from us, email us with “NO SNAIL MAIL” in the subject line, and include your name, address, and zip code. Note that our mailings are prepared in advance of being sent. We will remove your name from our mailing list after receiving your request, but you may receive mailings from us that had been initiated prior to processing your request.
      • Promotional Text Messages. If you get a text message from us that has promotional content, you can opt-out of future text messages by replying “STOP.”
      • Revocation Of Consent. Where we process your personal data based upon consent, you may revoke consent. Note, if you revoke consent for processing personal data, we may no longer be able to provide you some types of services.

Not all the rights above are absolute, and they do not apply in all circumstances. We may limit or deny some requests because the law permits or requires us to.

Children’s privacy

Protecting children’s privacy is important to us. The Sites are general audience sites. We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our Sites is targeted to attract anyone under 13. We urge parents and guardians to participate in their children’s online activities and use parental control or other web filtering technology to supervise children’s access to the web. If we learn that a child under the age of 13 has submitted Personal Data, we will take reasonable measures to delete the information and to not use it for any purpose, except where required by law. While we make every effort to ensure that all information we hold about you is accurate, complete and up to date, we cannot guarantee its safety. If we are required to inform you about a security incident, we will do so electronically, in writing, or by phone, as the law permits. You can help us by promptly notifying us if there are any changes to your personal data.

We store personal data for different periods of time only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they were originally collected, as subsequently further authorized, or when required or allowed under applicable law. The purposes include satisfying legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the data. We also weigh the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of the data, the purposes for which we obtained the data, and whether we can meet those purposes through other means, as well as applicable legal requirements.

Any request for a copy of or to delete your Personal Data may be made in writing and we will endeavor to respond within a reasonable period in compliance with applicable data protection laws. Our website provides links to other third-party websites, content, or services, that we do not own or operate. While we make efforts to choose our links carefully, we cannot take any responsibility for, and have no control over, the content of linked websites, nor can we take responsibility for the privacy policies of websites we link to. Since we do not control these websites, we encourage you to review the privacy policies posted on these third-party websites prior to any use.

Your California privacy rights

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 gives California residents the right to request certain information regarding our disclosure of their personal data to third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. You may request information about these disclosures by using the contact information in the “Contact Us” section below. This request may be made no more than once per calendar year, and we reserve our right not to respond to requests submitted other than to the email address specified in the “Contact Us” section. Please include “Your California Rights” in the subject or attention line of your request.

Note to international visitors

Walder Education is located in the United States, and the personal data we collect about you is stored on servers located in the United States. Please note that the privacy and data protection laws of the United States may differ from the laws in your country. By providing us with your Personal Data and using our Sites, you acknowledge that your Personal Data will be transferred to and processed in the United States consistent with this Policy.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may change our Policy and privacy practices. We may change our Policy and privacy practices.  New policies will be published on our website.  If changes are material, the Policy that was in place when you submitted personal data to us will generally govern that data unless you consent to the new Policy. Our Policy shows “effective” and “last updated” dates at the beginning. The effective date is the date the current version took effect. The last updated date is the date the current version was last substantively changed.
