The Simcha Chidon, taught in conjunction with Purim, presents the students with the opportunity to compare the world’s view of happiness with true happiness. Students will learn what happiness is, see examples of happiness as discussed in the Torah, sing songs related to happiness and celebrate their learning with a chidon.
Students will compare temporal happiness with true joy, identify reasons for happiness mentioned in the Torah, and sing songs and use idioms related to joy. Students will check their knowledge by participating in a chidon.
