Exploring Nechoshes/Copper in Parshas Terumah
One of the materials donated for use in the Mishkan was copper. Copper turns dark when it is covered with copper oxide. Using a solution of vinegar and salt, students can discover how to remove copper oxide from a penny and restore its original shine.
