Introduce the symbolic foods traditionally eaten on the night of Rosh Hashanah and their corresponding Yehi Ratzon prayers with this beautiful poster. Students will learn the Hebrew names for each food and notice the similarities between the words describing the blessings and foods. As an extension, point out additional foods that have been added to the meal in Jewish communities around the world and encourage students to come up with additional foods and appropriate “Yehi Ratzons.”
