Yeast in Parashas Re’eh
At the end of this parshah, the laws of Pesach are reviewed and Bnei Yisrael are reminded to avoid leavened bread, and to remove all chametz from their homes. Breads containing yeast are chametz and this is your chance to show your students that yeast is alive and causes the dough to rise and become chametz.
