Waterproofing in Parashas Shemos
When Moshe Rabbeinu was born, his mother Yocheved put him into the Nile River as per the wicked decree of Pharaoh. The basket she used for him was carefully prepared to be completely waterproof, so Moshe would remain dry as he floated along the water. Let’s see what materials are waterproof and will not allow moisture to penetrate.

- Paper with a picture to color (I used Baby Moshe in a basket and attached it below)
- Non-permanent markers
- Variety of materials cut into large pieces such as baking paper, tin foil, cardboard, plastic wrap, paper towels or lamination plastic
- Water in a spray bottle
