There is a special mitzvah commanded to us on Sukkos to be בשמחה; to be happy. On Sukkos, we have an opportunity to recognize the amazing miracles that Hashem provided for us when we were wandering in the desert. We have to take time to specially rejoice in the fact that the Hashem took us out of Mitzrayim and gave Bnei Yisrael six walls of protection throughout the day and by night. When you hang this project in your sukkah as a decoration, it will serve as a reminder of the awesome protection Hashem provides for us, and put us in the mindset to perform the mitzvah of ושמחת בחגך.
The student will create a hands-on art project to hang in their sukkah. This project can be used to discuss different aspects and mitzvos of Sukkos that add to our שמחה on Yom Tov.
