Time to Light the Menorah
Create this distinctive menorah while teaching students about optimal halachic times for lighting Chanukah candles. Students will use the attached worksheet to calculate the specific Chanukah candle lighting times for their location based on daily sunset times and their family’s particular minhagim. Using chalk, students can record these times onto flat rocks placed in front of each candle holder on the menorah. The chalk times can be erased and recalculated every year.
