The 8 Levels of Tzedakah: Teacher’s Guide
Walder Education is proud to present a comprehensive educational resource on one of Judaism’s most fundamental practices, the Mitzvah of Tzedakah.
Each unit in the curriculum includes 5 lessons on an overarching theme in tzedakah and comes with a Student Booklet and accompanying Teacher’s Guide. Following an inquiry-based format, students will explore the practices and meaning of tzedakah through a combination of thought-provoking questions, guided study of primary texts, experiential activities, and class discussion.
Unit 2 covers the 8 levels of tzedakah, first formulated by the Rambam. Students will develop a deeper sensitivity to others while learning about ways to maximize the dignity of those who receive tzedakah.
