Use this Sefiras Haomer Button Art as a hands-on activity for students to count and track the days of the Omer and build excitement and anticipation for the holiday of Shavuos. The printed template has seven flowers, each with seven numbered petals. Students can count each day of the Omer by attaching a button to the corresponding number on each flower. As the students cover the flower petals with buttons, they will move across and upward on their picture until they reach Zman Matan Toraseinu, reinforcing the concept of counting up.
Students will review and reinforce counting skills.
Students will identify that there are seven days in a week and seven weeks of counting the Omer, for a total of 49 days.
Students will demonstrate the ability to use various colors and sizes of buttons to create their unique flower scene.
