Removing Salt from Water for Parashas Vayeira

SKU: CRBER13-RS013

In this parshah your students will learn that Lot’s wicked wife turned into a pillar of salt. The area of Sedom has a lot of salt in its earth and waters. The Yam Hamelach located in this area is a very salty body of water in which no fish or plants can survive. Scientists are trying to find ways to increase the amount of fresh water homes for fish to thrive in. They are trying to figure out ways to remove the salt from the water so the water can be used for crops and drinking. We can help! We will be placing some salt water in a sunny spot and collect the evaporated drops which will contain no salt.
