Walder Education is proud to present a comprehensive curricular resource on one of Judaism’s most fundamental practices, the Mitzvah of Tzedakah.
Each unit in the curriculum includes 5 lessons on an overarching theme in tzedakah and comes with a Student Booklet and accompanying Teacher’s Guide. Following an inquiry-based format, students will explore the practices and meaning of tzedakah through a combination of thought-provoking questions, guided study of primary texts, experiential activities, and class discussion.
Unit 1 covers the topic of priorities in tzedakah. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the different factors we use to appropriately distribute our tzedakah among many worthy causes.
