Create our mosaic sukkah with twig/ yarn schach to decorate your students’ sukkos while reviewing the source and reasons for the mitzvah of sitting in the sukkah. Use this project as a hook to teach the halachos that determine whether or not a sukkah is kosher and the reason behind the custom of decorating the sukkah. Students will also learn media and color choice as they choose reds, yellows, and oranges for the sukkah, and green yarn and twigs to depict the requirement that schach must be something that grew from the ground.
