Goals
Goals and Objectives: The students will create a three-dimensional model of sea life to help them understand the brachah that the month of Adar brings us. The teacher can also incorporate a science lesson about sea life through this project.
Skills Developed: fine motor skills (cutting, painting, wrapping, gluing), ability to follow instructions, focus on task, planning behavior
Materials
  • Two 8″ paper plates (Chinet)
  • Two 10″ paper plates (Chinet)
  • Paint (tempera watercolor acrylic)
  • Small fish die-cut (template included)
  • Thread 3-5 pieces per child each piece 11″ long
  • Cellophane or blue plastic wrap
  • Tape
  • Small craft jewels glitter glue
  • Glue (Rubber Cement Aileen’s Tacky glue or glue stick)
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors or craft knife (adults only)
  • Light blue patterned paper
