Use this unique coffee and blue paint mixture technique as a hands-on activity to help students visualize the shape and color of the Luchos. The Gemara in Bava Basra 14a teaches us that the Luchos were rectangular in shape. The Rashi to Shemos 34:1 tells us that the Luchos were made of sapphire. After your students create the Luchos, use the project as a springboard to introduce and discuss the Aseres Hadibros, the Ten Commandments.
