Increase student participation while learning Rashi with this collaborative activity. Have students work in small groups to review one of Rashi’s comments by recording either Rashi’s question or answer (per teacher instruction). Then, have students record the responses of their fellow group members and indicate whether they agree or disagree with each response. Finally, have the group discuss the accuracy of the responses until they reach a final consensus.
Use the accompanying Rashi Q&A cards on Parshas Shemos and the Rashi Q&A notetaking sheet for a comprehensive, ready-to-use learning activity.
These materials may be used independently or with a cooperative learning structure, such as the Kagan Structure AllRecord Round Robin, for interactive review. Brief instructions suggesting use with AllRecord Round Robin are included.
