Purim Felt Board Language Arts Activities
This felt board activity helps teach the story of Purim through the use of sequenced picture cards and/or the use of Purim character cut outs. It also reinforces the mitzvos of Purim with simple picture cards and includes corresponding word labels in English and Hebrew for use with older students. Activity may be self or teacher directed.

Goals
| Goals and Objectives: | Students will reinforce their knowledge of the Purim story and its mitzvos. Students will develop language and organizing skills by sequencing Purim story picture cards and/or utilizing the cards in storytelling. By using Purim character cutouts for dramatic play, students will develop story telling abilities, enhancing oral language skills. |

- 2 legal size folders (9”x14”)
- Felt in turquoise or color of choice for felt board background approx. 28”x15”
- Glue stick
- 3M double sided tape #469
- Scissors
- Tacky glue
- Felt in beige or color of choice for backing story cards 3 – 12”x9” sheets or equivalent
- Felt in beige or color of choice for backing character cut outs 3 – 12”x9” sheets or equivalent
- Felt in beige or color of choice for backing mitzvah cards and labels 2- 12”x9” sheets or equivalent
