Megillah Color Sorting Activity
This interactive felt board activity offers a fun learning experience as students sort the megillah shapes by color and place them along the correspondingly colored strip. There are six felt megillahs for each of six different basic colors, and two matching colored felt strips.

Goals
| Goals and Objectives: | Students will reinforce their color sorting skills as they sort these megillahs by color. The teacher places colored felt strips across the feltboard to form three rows of lines. Students will position the megillah shapes along these felt strip lines by matching the colors. |

| Skills Developed: | The student will improve hand-eye coordination, color recognition, visual discrimination, spatial discrimination and ability to categorize. |
Materials
- For felt board:
- 2 legal size folders (9”x14”)
- Felt in black or color of choice for felt board background approx. 28”x16”
- Glue stick
- 3M double sided tape #469
- Scissors
- Laminate
- Tacky glue
- For color sorting:
- Felt sheets 9” x 12” felt sheets, 2 each in red, blue, yellow, purple, green, and orange, or colors of your choice.
- Scissors (sharp scissors helpful)
- Die cut Megillah #9 or attached template
- 12” ruler (standard width of about 1”) or attached template
- Pencil or pen any color
