Latke Numbers Game
In this number game students will use tongs to lift latkes out of a toy frying pan, count the amount of dots colored onto latkes, and match the numbers to the numerals written on plates. This makes a wonderful pre-math center with a Chanukah theme. As an extension of the number sense activity, ask students how they know that the dots depict the number.
