Goals
| Goals and Objectives: | The students will count out the correct number of apples to match the number designated. The students will learn that a number symbol represents an amount and they will learn each number symbol 0 through 10 and be able to count each amount, 1 through 10. |
| Skills Needed: | Pincer grasp is the required skill. |
| Skills Developed: | Students will strengthen their pre-math, counting skills, one-on-one correspondence, pincer grasp, tactile discrimination, and conservation skills. |
Materials
- (11) 4” Plywood Squares (1/8” thick) (We got ours from Woodworks Ltd.)
- 1 package red 60 grit coarse sandpaper
- 2 “ number die cuts, or number templates, included
- Tacky Glue
- 55 small apples (We used Design It: Simple Style plastic apples.)
