Students will create this paper doll craft to learn about the mitzvah of tzitzis. When boys wear four cornered garments, strings are added to each corner to remind them of the 613 mitzvos. (The numerical value of the word ציצית is 600. Each corner needs 8 threads and 5 knots. 600 + 8 + 5 = 613!). In this activity, students will use a variety of household materials to dress up a paper doll and determine which ones could be used for Kosher tzitzis.
