Alcohol Ink Plate
Use this project to familiarize students with the concept of Hiddur Mitzvah, or beautifying the mitzvah. Students will experiment with an alcohol ink technique to develop unique color combinations and create an artistic plate for Shabbos or holiday use. Extend the learning by having students discuss other ways they can incorporate Hiddur Mitzvah into their lives.

Note: For best results, we recommend using the specific brands mentioned below for the alcohol ink, paint markers, and acrylic paint

- Clear tape
- Metallic Decocolor liquid opaque paint markers
- Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink (3-5 colors)
- Plastic gloves
- Plastic straw
- Regular Mod Podge
- Dishwasher safe acrylic white paint
- Dishwasher safe metallic paint
- Sponge brush
- Rubbing alcohol
- Spray bottle with water
- Paper towel
