The student will enjoy creating this 3-D tactile tree and add cheerios to learn about the special mitzvah of terumos and ma’asros (terumah offering and tithe). The student will learn the percentages they need to separate in order to contribute to the Kohen, Levi, the poor, and what needs to be eaten in Yerushalayim. At the end of the lesson, the student can take part in giving the contributions to the Kohen and Levi of their class and enjoy eating the remaining cheerios.
The student will gain the understanding of terumos and ma’asros, the mitzvah of separating and contributing to the Kohen and Levi before eating any of the harvest.
